In year 2008…

Posted by rubberband on December 29, 2008

1. …I went to watch Rugby League World Cup Finale. It was Australia Kangaroos vs New Zealand Kiwis. I was the fans for Kangaroos. They didn’t win the match. That takes me 2 weeks gotten over it.

2. …I got myself a holiday back in Malaysia! I attended my brother’s wedding. Ultimately, that holiday was what I long-waited for and it brightens up my entire year.

3. …I am stopped from doing blood/plasma donations for another six months for the second times. It happened early march this year for the first time, and the second time (the inform letter) came just a few weeks ago. I was told that the iron level in my blood stream went below normal again. Urgh. Not happy. Why can’t the iron level shoot up sky high?

4. …I walked home from work for the first time. It usually takes 5-7mins by car. Today by foot, I took 1.5 hours from Fortitude Valley to Kelvin Grove. It is ridiculous. I seriously got myself lost in the super jurrasic golf park. Shame!

5. …I learned a lot from Yoppo. He taught me many. I am always impressed with his thinking.

6. …there is no single day that I skip wearing socks. I love socks and I love wearing them. Woohoo. *comfy*

7. …I am taking sweet time preparing for the wedding. I am feeling slack in doing the preparation work. Hmmm. What is the drive for brides doing these all anyway? Can you tell?

8. …I didn’t spend too deerly. I am still as thrifty as I can be. Huh?! Please please. Hopefully this will really last. ^.^

Happy New Year!

I dislike…

Posted by rubberband on December 15, 2008

1. … the fact that I am far away from home.

2. … myself when I got angry.

3. … insect killings. I never agree if Yoppo or Carrie decides to kill cockroach, spider, and etc. I thought insects have a life too. Catch and get them away from house is a best way out.

4. … putting on weights (who ever likes it?). But I am still eating, eating and eating.

5. … show-offs. Because show-offs are sickening.

6. … family conflicts. To hear that someone in the family is angry with another one in the family is no fun.

7. … giving up on myself. Negative thoughts always struck my brain. Just like when I do yoga, I told myself “I can’t” more than “I can”.

8. …spending money. It does not makes me feel right. As at now. I can’t promise. Haha.

Words…

Posted by rubberband on December 10, 2008

1. … that I say the most at work are “I am good. Thank you.”. Why? Everyday people asks you “How’s it going”, “How you doing”, “How are you” at all times, although you have no idea who they are.

2. … that I say the most at home are “Have you eaten shit today?”. Needless to say, the victims are Yoppo and Carrie. Sometimes I just started the conversation with that. Just like that. Such shallow way of breaking the ice, I know. They are not bad too, really, they return with “No. Have you?

3. … that I usually say before I ends conversation with my parents or siblings on the phone are “I love you. Bye Bye. Good night.” I try to be expressive and vocal to my love so they know I do care although I am far away.

4. … I learned at work today is “Hooroo”. It is an aussie way of saying goodbye. It sounds kiddy but it is fun. I think it will take us a while to forget this cute word – “Hooroo”.

5. … that a test analyst have to remember are “Let it go.”. There are times when the defect are visibly seen in the system but not reproducible, we will need to let it go and hopefully next time by chance the bug will come say hello again. I often don’t understand these words. Consequently wasted too much time in the findings.

6. … that never fail to make rach and myself laugh are “come bark”. The story behind this is, once ah ba (rach’s partner) phoned the car service because the car we went out with, just out of sudden cannot be started. He told the operator that “We parked in a valley. When we come bark, the car cannot start.” I think he is trying to make it catchy but sadly it turns out hilarious.

7. … that recently read from work-mail are “Christmas”, “Donation”, “Salvation Army”. They have come out with lots of ideas in making this work, such as Lollies Jar, Red Dress Day, Bakery Day, Online Bids, and etc. I can see that TechnologyOne is making an effort to help the needs during the Christmas season. Let’s hope we will hit more than the target @ 10k aud. Go go go!

8. … that I ask Yoppo sometimes are “What you think we gonna do when we are old?” or “Are we still loving each other when we are old?”. Who knows what will happen in the future? Tell me if you do.

*Hooroo!* ^.^
